Handiworks from 18 craft groups and individual artisans from Shiraoi will be displayed at Cafe Esquisse in Sapporo from November 9^th to December 4^th. Each of them has cultivated solid skills, and some of them are active as instructors and some have even won awards at national exhibitions. Many exhibitions have been held by them inside and outside of Hokkaido.   Although the artisans in Shiraoi started their handicrafts with many reasons such as passing down the ancestral culture or their pure love for making things by hand, they have a common passion for making handicrafts. Therefore, their skillfully embroidered Ainu patterns let their work speak for itself every time it is displayed.
