The number of visitors coming to Poroto Mintar reached 500,000 people on December 17, 2023. 
Poroto Mintar was opened in April 2020 as a tourist base for Shiraoi, which provides information pertaining to nearby tourist attractions such as the National Ainu Museum and Park (Upopoy), gourmet and dining, experiential programs, rental cycles, and has a souvenir shop focusing on the local specialties and a kitchen for drinks and light meals.   

On the day, Mr. Oshio, the mayor of Shiraoi Town, gratefully presented a souvenir to our 500,000th visitor, Mr. Koyama from Machida City, Tokyo.
To express our gratitude to all customers and visitors for support so far, we are holding a 500,000 Visitors Celebration Sale from December 19th to December 24th, 2023 by offering 100 Yen discount for milk-soft-serve ice cream and mellow coffee, which are very popular to visitors.

 All the staff at Poroto Mintara will continue to work hard to promote Shiraoi tourism and provide warm service to our customers and visitors!
