Shiraoi Hachiman Jinja Reitaisai (Shiraoi Hachiman Shrine Festival)
The Shiraoi Hachiman Jinja festival is a local festival that attracts more than 40 Yosakoi dance teams nationwide, who come and dance their way down the main streets to the shrine grounds. This glamourous spectacle is the highlight of the festival.
Vendors line the grounds selling various goodies and live events are held on stage. There are children's sumo wrestling matches and karaoke competitions that add excitement to the venue, attracting many visitors from near and far.
