    The Jomon Prehistoric Sites in the four prefectures of Hokkaido, Aomori, Iwate and Akita were inscribed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 2021.

    People from the Jomon period led sedentary lives based on hunting, fishing and gathering over a period of more than 10,000 years. The Jomon period is an important part of Japanese history.

    An exhibition of Jomon culture in Hokkaido will be held in Natural Skincare Garden Nachunomori from March 15, 2024.

    The exhibition includes a gallery displaying authentic precious tools and documents of the Jomon period that were excavated in Hokkaido with easily understandable explanations about Jomon people’s lifeway, and many experience programs where participants can create things and understand more about Jomon culture.

    Beside taking part in the event above, visitors can enjoy delicious food at Smile Kitchen, shop at the natural skincare shop, do scientific experiences at Morinokosha building, relax at Aqua Spa and the garden.
